Bill Payment Options

Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility has several convenient methods in place for customers to pay their electric bill.

Pay by Mail

Please include the side stub of the bill to assure that your account is properly credited. Please send a check or money order only. Please do not send cash.

Pay in Person

During normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm) customers can make payments at our office, located at 201 E. Pleasant Street, Maquoketa.

As an additional convenience, Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility has a drive-up drop box located just outside our office on East Pleasant Street. Postage is not necessary when using the drop box. Please be sure to drop your payment in the drop box marked “ELECTRICITY”. The drop box is available 24 hours a day.

Automatic Payment

We also accept payment by automatic withdrawal (ACH) from your checking or savings account. Some advantages to using direct automatic payment are:

The automatic payment plan is dependable, flexible, convenient, and easy. To take advantage of this service, contact us and we’ll get you started. Or fill out the ACH Form and drop it by our office with a voided check.

When enrolled in this convenient service, you will continue to receive a statement at the beginning of each month detailing the amount to be debited from your savings or checking account on the due date.
